Kicking and Carseats

Well I'm 22 weeks now and I must say Mason is kicking all the time.. I can even see him kicking on the outside! I get tired extremely easy and that's something I'm not used to. I'm usually always moving and with this pregnancy I have had to take a back seat to a lot of things. I'm not able to do any of my photography sessions so that's really hard on me.. buuuttt according to the doctor Mason is growing perfectly so that's all I can hope for. Here's a video below showing just how hard he is kicking at 22 weeks. Ignore the movie playing the background LOL

So while we were out yesterday we stopped at BuyBuyBaby. If you haven't checked it out, you need to. It's owned by Bed Bath and Beyond and is a HUGE mega baby store. We registered there for most of the stuff and then Target as our other. Got side tracked......

Anyways.... We went there to check out the car seats, strollers, and convertible car seats we registered for to make sure we liked them.. We ended up switching the infant car seat for a different one but overall we LOVED what we picked out.. Here is what we ended up with.

Baby Jogger City Mini GT If you have checked it out you need to.. Watch the video on how it folds up. We were literally so amazed at this stroller, we were like two kids in a candy store. It's super light weight so I am able to pick it up on my own and I LOVED LOVED this teal color. It was gorgeous.

For our infant car seat we ended up switching to the Cybex Aton 2. We started to get the Britax b-safe but after seeing it and feeling it we hated it.. The technician liked the cybex much better and I have several friends say that they liked it too. So that is the one we ended up with. Plus it fits on our stroller with a stroller attachment. It felt much more comfortable and you could definitely tell it was very sturdy. They also had high safety ratings.

For the convertible car seat, we went with the highly rated Diono Rainer. It was also good in safety and several friends said they loved it. It will work for up to 120 lbs so it will be the only car seat we need after the infant car seat.

For the most part I think we got our registry down pat. The major things are on our buybuybaby and our crib and dresser is at Target. Who would have thought it was so hard to pick everything out. I'm so excited to start buying all this stuff and get ready for the little Monkey. OH OH OH and my maternity sessions are coming up soon. I can't wait for those either... anyways.. just a little update!

21 weeks Anatomy Ultrasound

We had our anatomy ultrasound today and I must say I was scared, nervous, excited, and happy all in one! I haven't met with the doctor yet. I do that tomorrow morning, but according to the ultrasound tech everything looked perfect. I just hope when the doctor looks over the ultrasound he confirms that everything is ok. Mr. Mason Wayne Davis weighed in at 15 oz and is measuring a week ahead. So thankful for a healthy, active baby and just praying that the doctor confirms it!

We got to see all his legs and arms, but my favorite part was the 3D ultrasound of his face. I couldn't believe at 21 weeks he looked so real! I can't wait to see what the 3D/4D ultrasound looks like when we get that. And YES I am going to an elective ultrasound to get that done at like 34ish weeks. I think today was the last ultrasound I get from the doctor, if I'm not mistaken.

So about this boys legs. I was cracking up that he was so limber. In the one picture you can actually see the legs up at his face. At one point he stretched his legs PASSED his head! He is going to be one long baby! Patrick was all smiles and cracking up at him with his legs wide open. No mistaking he's a boy that's for sure. It was such a blessing to see his heart beating away and see all of his organs.

Now just pray that when I see the doctor tomorrow he confirms that everything is ok. I just can't seem to relax and realize he is ok until I hear it from the doctor!

It's a boy!

Wow! It's been quite a while since I updated last. There has been so many things happened so I will try to start off from the beginning. We are now out of Clarksville and now at Fort Gordon! We finally found a house after days and days of searching. I would have never thought it would have been that hard to find a house but we are in a NICE neighborhood and an fantastic house. The neighborhood even has a lake to walk around for Marley. I will be down there this week!!

Now for the little monkey. We found out it's a boy!!!! Patrick is super excited and I can't wait to meet the little guy. I also find it funny that even though we didn't know what the baby was at our announcement photo session we still both wore blue! Ha! I think our subconscious knew before we did!

We had our babymoon to Mexico and it was very fun and relaxing. EVEN THOUGH I got so sunburned I was a lobster. If anyone knows me I never sunburn. So this was a first to me. We weren't able to do all the fun stuff we had planned because I was pregnant but it was definitely a fun trip! Which now I must show baby's first EPIC selfie! lol I was about 15-16 weeks here.

We have had quite a few scares by having to go to the ER and bleeding. I was put on bed rest for a little while and had to take it very easy. Doctors have assured me that everything is ok even though I'm still having that problem. They still don't know why I'm spotting esp since I've been 14 weeks. It's very hard not to worry especially since I have been jaded with a past miscarriage and not able to just sit back and relax. I am told I can do some stuff but I still must take it very easy. No lifting, etc......

20 weeks HALF WAY

The little guy is very active. I have been feeling him kick since about 16 weeks. I am now 20 weeks and can feel him kick at least 20 times a day if not more. So I am blessed to be able to feel him and know that everything is ok. I am starting to have trouble sleeping and my back hurting. If he is setting on my spine I have sharp pains shooting down my legs and back. If this is what to come I am definitely dreading when I get bigger.

We have begun to set up registries and get everything in order for the baby. Getting the crib picked out along with the strollers and carseats. I just have to say who knew that there were SO MANY different kinds. After days and days of researching we finally came up with the perfect ones.

We have finally decided on a name I THINK. ha But for now we will keep that a secret. So for now next up is moving in fully to Fort Gordon and Anatomy ultrasound this Thursday. So please pray that everything will be perfectly healthy with our little monkey and we continue to have a good pregnancy.

Here are just a few ultrasound pics I've had over the past few months:
